- People Water is committed to use its best efforts to solve these problems:
First, a majority of our PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles are made with ENSO technology, which has shown to significantly decrease the amount of time it takes for a PET bottle to biodegrade.
Second, where we cannot use ENSO technology, we use recycled materials to produce our PET bottles.
Third, we actively encourage recycling. The good news is that PET bottles may be recycled hundreds of times.

WHY WE GIVE
We give because we want everyone in the world to have a chance to be happy. That is it. That is the only reason.
We want everyone to have clean water for the simple reason that it is a lot harder to be happy when you are sick–and it’s a lot harder to be healthy when the water you drink is killing you.
We are so lucky. Clean water is a blessing which we often take for granted. Have you ever thought about all of the other blessings and opportunities clean water grants us? It gives us the chance to grow up. The chance to chase our dreams. The chance to fall in love. The chance to have families. The chance to grow old.
Many people on our planet will never have those opportunities because they will never have the gift of health that is accompanied by clean, safe drinking water. That is why water is so important.
It is a small thing, but really, it is everything.
We know that you can’t give the world to everyone–but, we also know that you don’t need the world to be happy. All you need is a chance.
HOW WE GIVE
When we started People Water all we knew for sure is that we wanted to make a difference. What we quickly realized is that we couldn’t do it alone–not if we wanted to do it right, anyway.
While the water problem itself is not hard to understand, the solutions are a bit more complex. There are many factors that go into providing a sustainable water resource that we had never even imagined: issues of maintenance and sanitation, government agencies to deal with, geologist to consult, drilling companies to hire...
And while many people have their hearts in the right place, sometimes that is simply not enough. (Evidence of this is that 50% of all water projects fail within the first few years.)
At People Water we were determined not to fail. That is why we teamed up with such respected organizations as Blue Planet Network and Generosity Water--NPO's that understand the obstacles to effective giving and how to overcome them. With their help we can insure that resources, talents and energy are not wasted, and that every water project is as successful as possible.
So while we may not know everything, we have partners who do--and together we are determined to make a difference.
