We give because we want everyone in the world to have a chance to be happy. That's it. That is the only reason.
We want everyone to have clean water for the simple reason that it is a lot harder to be happy when you're sick–and it’s a lot harder to be healthy when the water you drink is killing you.
We are so lucky. Clean water is a blessing which we often take for granted. Have you ever thought about all the other blessings and opportunities clean water grants us? It gives us the chance to grow up. The chance to chase our dreams. The chance to fall in love. The chance to have families. The chance to grow old.
Many people on our planet will never have those opportunities because they will never have the gift of health that is accompanies clean, safe drinking water. That is why water is so important.
It's a small thing, but really, it's everything.

When we started People Water all we knew for sure is that we wanted to make a difference. What we quickly realized is that we couldn’t do it alone–not if we wanted to do it right, anyway.
While the water problem itself is not hard to understand, the solutions are a bit more complex. There are many factors that go into providing a sustainable water resource that we had never even imagined—issues of maintenance and sanitation, government agencies to deal with, geologist to consult, drilling companies to hire...
While many people have their hearts in the right place, sometimes that is simply not enough. In fact 50% of all water projects fail within the first few years.
At People Water we were determined not to fail. That is why we teamed up with such respected organizations as Blue Planet Network and Generosity Water--NPO's that understand the obstacles of effective giving and how to overcome them. With their help we can insure that resources, talents and energy are not wasted, and that every water project is as successful as possible.
